For forty years, Chef Koji has dedicated himself to honing his skills in the art of sushi. He delights in sharing the culinary traditions of his native Japan with his customers in the Diablo Valley.

Chef Koji began his training in the art of sushi with an apprenticeship under the renowned sushi master, Chef Hiroshi Hiyama. Chef Koji sharpened his skills working in acclaimed sushi restaurants in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area to open his first sushi restaurant. Ikoi Walnut Creek is Chef Koji's third restaurant.
